 Product Description

RESAWING (DRY WOOD)

Our ¾” x 2/3 tpi x .025 blades have a variable pitch tooth pattern. They are made of Swedish Silicon Steel. The teeth are induction hardened, milled for true tracking. These blades run under a little lower tension which is better for your band saw. Our welds are warranted. This ¾” x 2/3 tpi blade is generally used for cutting 3"-12" kiln or air-dried hardwoods and 3"-10" kiln or air-dried softwoods. It leaves a nice finish. It's an excellent resaw blade.

Our ¾” x 3 tpi x .025 blades are made of Swedish Silicon Steel. The teeth are induction hardened, milled for true tracking and produce a thin kerf (the total overall set is .048”). These blades run under a little lower tension which is better for your band saw. Our welds are warranted. This ¾” x 3 tpi blade is generally used for straight-line cutting 3”-10” hardwoods and 3”-8” softwoods. It is an excellent blade for cutting veneers and resawing expensive woods. It leaves a very nice finish.

 Product Reviews

  1. Well worth it

    Posted by Tim on 04 12 2018

Just finished installing and adjusting the blade on my Grizzly 14" bandsaw. Finally made the purchase when my latest project calls for 1/4" walnut panels. Resawed my first set of panels with the original Grizzly 3/8" 6TPI blade from 3/4" stock, and the resulting panels required significant planing of the rough surfaces to the point where I still had some minor irregularities by the time I planed down to 1/4". Repeated the same procedure with the newly installed 3/4" 3TPI Timberwolf. The results were very satisfying. I won't even need to send the resawn panels through the planer, but will be able finish of with a few light passes of my smoothing plane or even a card scraper.

I did follow Timberwolf's instructions for tracking alignment and flutter tensioning.

  2. Sharp, but a little uneven around the weld

Posted by Steve Seebart on 03 08 2018

I installed this blade on my 18" Grizzly saw the day it arrived--I had a lot of resawing to do. The blade cuts like a hot knife through butter. So far, I've run maple, sapele and walnut through it with no issues. Can't speak to longevity yet, however.

At the point, the only complaint is the workmanship at the weld. The 3/4" width of the blade expands at the weld by enough that a correctly adjusted support bearing behind the blade rubs when the weld comes around. I had to back the support off, but I still get pulsing and a lot of noise when the saw is in operation.

  3. Great quality blade

This is the first timber wolf blade I have used. Although I just received the blade and have installed it on my Laguna bandsaw I haven't had time to do much re sawing. For the little I have done I like the way the blade handles. I've used it to re saw both with a fence and without and both ways work very well. Accuracy in re sawing is half the blade and half the setup of the bandsaw. This blade does its job very well. It is very sharp and the weld was well finished. If something changes my opinion in the future I will certainly add to this post.

  4. Great Blade

Just finished setting this blade up on my band saw. Wow, very pleased!
Very true cut, slice a piece of 5" wide walnut like butter. Very smooth cut. Will take nothing to plan this off. One light pass will do it. Thank you.

I'll be buying other Timber Wolf blades.

  5. Quality band saw blade

Just installed and re-sawed pine boards. Cuts great.

  6. very mean blade

I used the 3/4" 2-3 tpi for sawing mesquite logs, up to 11" thick, into slabs for drying & further use. It cut very smoothly and left a nice finish which will reduce the amount to be planed when I use them, in a year or 2.

Given the thickness of the logs, there was absolutely no drift or problems with the cut.

I use a Jet 14" with built in 12" height. 1.25 hp motor.
